About the role 

Senior Tax Trainers are responsible for the delivery of technical taxation seminars and interactive workshops, either face to face or online, to a diverse range of clients across a broad geographical area.

Key responsibilities 

Delivery of training: 

  • Delivery of training to clients at the time and location as directed by the training operations scheduling system.  
  • Ensure punctual attendance at scheduled training sessions.
  • Arrange reasonable transport, accommodation and sustenance for attending sessions outside the trainer’s state, territory or region. Travel expenses incurred must comply with the Travel Reimbursement policy.
  • Ensure that all equipment necessary to perform the training is available.
  • Be adaptive to an environment that is constantly changing with the advancement of technology, competitive environment and client preferences. 

Maintenance of technical skills and knowledge: 

  • Attend and participate in TaxBanter’s internal team and technical meetings.
  • Maintain technical tax skills through professional development and own research.
  • Maintain an awareness of current training best practice and instructional design principles and training technologies. 

Other projects: 

  • Assist in product development as directed.
  • Participate in other projects as directed.
  • Carry on other duties as directed.   

Desired Qualifications and Experience 

Essential: 

  • A minimum of five years of experience in a specialist tax role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to taxation, such as LLB, BCom. 

Desired:

  • A post graduate qualification in a discipline relevant to taxation, such as LLM, MTax.
  • Previous experience in a training or coaching role.
  • Previous exposure to the following kay areas of tax -
  • PSI
  • Division 7A
  • CGT Small business concessions
  • Taxation of trusts (including s. 100A)
  • Main residence exemption
  • Residency
  • Taxation of Super funds (not SIS Act/Regs)
  • GST
  • FBT

We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who is highly skilled in using Xero and bookkeeping fundamentals to perform day-to-day processing for a varied client base, and also contribute meaningfully to an already well-established bookkeeping team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping across a client portfolio

  • Perform bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations

  • Process payroll (end-to-end)

  • Process Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and payroll-related reporting such as STP and TPAR

  • Payroll tax preparation

  • Prepare any other required reporting to support accounting colleagues or to meet clients business needs

  • Review work when/if required of any junior team members

What You’ll Bring:

  • Significant bookkeeping experience, ideally in a public practice or client-facing role.

  • Solid understanding of Xero and related add-ons; experience with other cloud-based tools is a bonus.

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, provide strategic support, and help lead a positive team culture at our Coolangatta office.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of SME and individual clients

  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, FBT, payroll tax and more

  • Conduct tax planning and advise on business structures

  • Identify workflow gaps, manage WIP, and meet personal and team KPIs

  • Build strong client relationships with a value-add mindset

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team success

  • Stay across relevant tax legislation (Div 7A, FBT, GST, etc.)

  • Use tools like Xero Practice Manager, FYI Docs & Dashboard Insights


What You’ll Bring

As a CSO, you'll be an integral part of our advice team, supporting advisers and clients through every stage of the advice implementation process. You'll be the friendly and professional first point of contact, ensuring our clients feel valued, informed and supported. This is a full-time, in-office position.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver timely, warm and professional client service across all interactions

  • Manage client enquiries and investigating queries to provide solutions within agreed timeframes

  • Coordinate the end-to-end implementation of insurance and superannuation advice recommendations

  • Liaise with product providers, insurers and superannuation funds to progress applications and outstanding requirements

  • Prepare and process documentation, forms and client correspondence

  • Maintain accurate client records and workflow systems

  • Provide general administrative support to advisers and the broader Wealth Management team

  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative and client-focused team culture


What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years' experience in the financial advice industry in a similar role

  • Familiarity with Xplan (preferable)
