Key Responsibilities

Working with a team of talented and highly qualified professionals, you will further develop your technical tax skills acting as the ‘adviser’s adviser’, providing timely answers to a broad array of technical issues and questions.

  • Tax advice to Knowledge Shop membership through the help desk
  • Support the development of Knowledge Shop’s knowledge base
  • If willing and able, upskill as a technical education presenter and creator
  • Contribute to the development and distribution of knowledge that benefits the profession

 

Qualifications

As a minimum, you must have:  

  • Manager level experience within an Australian public accounting practice
  • Tax advice experience, which means that you know how to comprehend, interpret and apply tax legislation, ATO rulings and other guidance material
  • A relevant post graduate qualification (CA/ CPA/ Masters in Taxation)
  • Current membership of CPA Australia, CAANZ, or TTI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Working conditions

Our preference is for full-time advisers but we will consider part-time for the right candidate.

Knowledge Shop is based in the Sydney CBD and has an office in Melbourne. For full-time team members, we generally work three days per week in the office and two from home (part time pro rata).

Geography is not necessarily an impediment. We have staff working fully remotely and will consider remote working for the right candidates.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the primary responsibility of the role is to provide executive assistance to the CEO. Responsible for managing the CEOs and the Chair’s business calendars, meetings, coordinating travel, speaking engagements and other appointments as well as preparation of general correspondence and documentation for meetings, presentations and Board Meetings. Provide support to the Count executive leadership team as required. Provide a key point of contact for operational matters.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Executive Assistant and Project Support to the CEO by providing high-level administration support and office administration such as expense management, meeting coordination, and contacts management.  
  • Undertake special projects as required and allocated by the CEO.
  • Facilities Management by assisting in the preparation of meeting rooms and catering arrangements for board and client requirements.
  • First point of contact for building management, maintenance and security matters.
  • General Office Administrative Assistance 

Essential Qualifications and Experience 

  • 5+ years’ demonstrable experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar administration role
  • Experience in an ASX-listed environment desirable.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong time management skills - highly organised and efficient
  • High attention to detail – able to apply sound judgement and discretion.
  • Results/achievement orientation (pro-active).
  • Agile and flexible to respond to changing timelines and a rapidly evolving business.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team where work is shared across roles to achieve deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High levels of energy and a desire to build and sustain broad networks of relationships.

Desirable Skills and Competencies 

  • Previous C-suite experience working for a CEO within a corporate, professional services or financial services environment.
  • Exposure to organising and managing projects and functions.
  • Attitude of making suggestions and recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures and delivering better outcomes.
